I thought all the hype was just that hype but I was wrong. This is a great club. Have played a few rounds with it and of course the Driving range. Very easy to hit. Took a little getting used to how light it is compared to my 20 year old TM bubble shaft. I can hit it off the deck 220 yards (carry) consistently. Looking at the rescue next.
Sold my R9 15 degree 3 wood after trying and keeping this one. The HL (high launch) version, 16.5 degree is much easier to get airborne and I didn't lose any distance. It has the standard shaft with adjustable adapter so I got to tweak the face angle a bit. Great club, it will be in the bag for a long while. And last but not least, for what I sold my R9 for on Ebay, this one only cost me a net 10 dollars more! What an upgrade for 10 bucks. Pat L.
These are the first graphite fairway woods I've used. They have a higher trajectory than my steel shafted ones did. They produce longer, straighter and more consistent shots. I got the 15, 19, 21 and 23 degree woods. There's not much difference between the 15 and 19 for some reason, so you might just go with the 15 and 21HL combination. The slot sure loves to collect crud, but it's not too hard to clean with my ball mark tool.
First this was used club in 'excellent' condition. Well it was really almost or actually new. Club has a hot face and ball really flies off it. The 17 loft helps 3 wood flight. Yes the groove on the bottom fills with dirt and turf on almost every stroke but cleans in a second with just a tee. Another great Taylor club.
i've always said the golf business is like the car business. new rearview mirrors or some other fluff and it's described as "all new". the RBZ Stage 2 is the exception. with the correct shaft there's no reason you can't get an additional 10% - 15% distance on your drives. my biggest problem is swinging to hard, which isn't the clubs fault. this is without a doubt the best driver i've ever hit. if you hit this club, you'll buy it.
